Dear Members,

As announced by the Premier yesterday, Victoria has now entered a State of Disaster with Stage 4 restrictions imposed for the next 6 weeks. All golf clubs and facilities in Metropolitan Melbourne have been closed until further notice. At this stage it’s most unlikely that we will be playing golf until mid-September at the earliest. If and when this changes we will advise Members and resume taking bookings for golf.

In the meantime, the Committee is pleased to advise that Denis Hickleton has accepted the casual Committee position of Captain. The Committee has left the casual Committee position of Handicapper vacant, but pleased that Chris Corry has agreed to assist the Committee with the handicapping role. The Committee thanks Denis for taking on the Captaincy and Chris for assisting with the handicapping until the AGM.
